May be, unless you are doing comparisions.  In either case it might be  
nice to have a method that goes both ways.

qname --> URI
URI --> qname

I could see the first making comparison functions easier to read and  
the second serialization easier to read.

I just wanted to point out that we need to be careful with terminology.  
  Lists and containers are different.  I think we need a set of  
functions to handle each.  I mappings from these two RDF data types to  
Sets or lists.
