[Xpath-ng] The fork in the XPath

Hi Uchi,

I am glad to be on the list. As you know I expressed substantive concerns on 
XML-Dev a few months back about W3C XPath 2.0. Although the W3C WG people 
seemed not to listen at the time I am less concerned now about the W3C XPath 
2.0 specification than I was 6 months ago. Some listening was done.

However, if XPath NG can provide a useful alternate way forward I am very 
interested to see what might be in the pipeline.

I am pretty much at the user-developer end of the spectrum so may just sit 
back and watch you implementor-developers strut your stuff.
